We have been making artist's books for over 30 years together. Long ago as craftspeople at Renaissance faires we fell in love with the "gypsy wagons" that vendors built to sleep in and sell their wares from. This wagon is taking us around the country to sell our books, teach book arts workshops, talk about books and see the beauty in the USA.

The Gypsy Wagon

It's getting close to leaving time and we still don't have a name for the gypsy wagon! Do you have any suggestions for us? Peter wants a name having to do with gypsy, book arts and birds (birds are painted on the very colorful exterior). Kind of impossible, right? I thought of "Halcyon", which is a mythical bird, a kingfisher, who charms the sea to peacefulness.

We leave later this week, and head first to Pinnacles National Monument. I am hoping we are not too late for the wildflowers.
